Know before you go

Full Experience Arena covers 2 consecutive days

These tours include the €24 Full Experience Arena ticket. The ticket covers 2 consecutive days, with one timed Colosseum entry and one Forum and Palatine entry. Your ticket: Full Experience Arena, €24, online 7 days ahead or at the ticket office on the day.

Tickets carry the visitor's name

Give the name that appears on each visitor's ID. Bring that ID to the meeting point. The park allows one name change by midnight 7 days before the visit, only for a clerical error in the name, the wrong ticket type bought in the same transaction or a serious documented reason. City Wonders permits no name changes after booking.

Colosseum time is separate from tour length

The Colosseum opens at 08:30. The Colosseum stay is 75 to 90 minutes, depending on your ticket. Full Experience Arena allows 90 minutes inside the Colosseum, with last arena access at 15:00. From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30.

Pushchair rules depend on the tour

Hold children by the hand and stay on marked paths. The tiers and Forum route involve steps. Roman Vacations accepts pushchairs; Walks and The Tour Guy cannot take them. LivTours' private arena tour accepts wheelchair users.

The arena gate is Sperone Stern

Sperone Stern is the arena entrance, also called Gladiator's Gate. Meet your guide at the tour meeting point. Walks requires arrival 15 minutes early; The Tour Guy's group requires 10 minutes. Tour times describe the departure; admission follows your booked Colosseum slot. A held slot still requires security screening. The park cannot admit you at another time.

Cancellation deadlines differ by tour

The selected LivTours and CityEyes tours give full refunds with at least 24 hours' notice. Walks and City Wonders require 3 full days, as does The Tour Guy. Roman Vacations requires 7 full days. Later cancellations receive no refund under these policies.
