- Do I need to book Colosseum tickets in advance? Yes for every timed ticket: 30 days ahead, the underground online, the Arena ticket 7 days ahead and at the office on the day.
- Is the Colosseum free? The Colosseum is free on the first Sunday of the month and on 25 April, 2 June and 4 November, by queue. EU citizens aged 18 to 25 pay €2.
- What to do when Colosseum tickets are sold out? The Arena ticket at the office on the day, a tour with the park ticket inside, or the night visit 7 days ahead.
- What do I need to bring to the Colosseum? The ticket and the ID of the person named on it; every ticket is in the holder's name and checked at the gate.

- How long do you need at the Colosseum? 75 to 90 minutes inside, then two to three hours for the Forum and the Palatine on the same ticket.
- What is the last entry time? 17:30 from 1 to 24 October; 15:30 from 25 October. The attic closes at 14:30, the underground at 16:40.
- What is the best time of day to visit? The first slots at 8:30, when the Colosseum opens; in winter the morning is the only time that leaves room for the Forum.

- Is the Colosseum underground worth it? Yes if you can book 30 days ahead: the underground ticket is €24, sold online, with a park guide and the arena floor included.
- Arena floor or underground? The underground ticket includes the floor. The Full Experience Arena ticket is €24 for the floor and the tiers without the corridors, on sale 7 days ahead.
- Can you go to the top of the Colosseum? On the Full Experience Attic ticket, €24, 8:30 to 14:30, by steep steps; no tour on our bar includes it.

- How do I get to the Colosseum? Metro line B to Colosseo, two stops from Termini, or line C to Colosseo-Fori Imperiali; the Forum and the Palatine have five gates, the nearest by the Arch of Titus.
- Is a guided tour worth it, or should I buy the ticket myself? The park ticket is €18 to €24, with a guide only underground. A tour adds the guide and a held slot: €59 on the standard route we would book.
