Know before you go

The standard park ticket opens the tiers

The €18 standard park ticket opens the first and second tiers. The ticket allows one Forum and Palatine entry within 24 hours. The Tour Guy and CityEyes guide the Forum; Walks views the Forum from outside. Your ticket: standard €18 for the tiers, on sale 30 days ahead.

Each ticket carries a name

Use every traveller's full name from their ID when booking. Bring a passport or government photo ID for each traveller, including children. The park permits one name change by midnight 7 days before the visit, only for a clerical error in the name, the wrong ticket type bought in the same transaction or a serious documented reason. Covered shoulders and knees are required at the Vatican.

Winter last admission is 15:30

The Colosseum allows 75 to 90 minutes inside, depending on your ticket. From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30.

Pushchairs are excluded on both shared tours

The Tour Guy and Walks exclude pushchairs and wheelchairs from these group tours. WOW's passage to St Peter's has 50 downward steps; wheelchair users can reach the Basilica by car. Wear shoes suited to uneven paths. Keep children beside you and hold their hands.

The Colosseum admits you at your booked time

Use the meeting point on your booking. Be at the Walks meeting point 15 minutes before departure. Security checks still apply at the Colosseum and Vatican Museums. The Colosseum admits you only at your booked time.

Refund deadlines differ by tour

The Tour Guy and Walks require 3 full days' notice for a refund. WOW and CityEyes refund cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure. Both Limousine Service tours use the same 24-hour deadline. I-tours and Italy Rome Tour do not refund traveller cancellations.
