2 group sizes on the same Vatican first route; both reach the Colosseum tiers and include a guided Forum visit. Prices are the lowest listed, per adult, ages 18 to 99; the hours and the days belong to each option.

Does the tour enter St Peter’s Basilica or the Pantheon?

St Peter’s Basilica and Pantheon entry are excluded. The Pantheon stop is a 10 minute exterior visit. The Scala Regia route offers an exterior view of St Peter’s Basilica. That view is unavailable on Wednesdays and during Vatican events.

What does the combined tour add to the €18 park ticket?

The standard €18 park ticket opens the tiers and gives Forum and Palatine access within 24 hours. Timed park tickets go on sale 30 days ahead. At €172, the tour adds Vatican entry and a guided route across central Rome. The van transfer from the Vatican is included.

Meeting point

Itinerary

1. Vatican Museums 120 min

   The 120 minute Vatican Museums visit includes the Gallery of Maps and Gallery of Tapestries, with your English-speaking guide leading the route from entry.

2. Sistine Chapel 15 min

   The 15 minute Sistine Chapel visit follows the museum galleries, with your guide explaining Michelangelo’s ceiling frescoes before you enter the chapel.

3. Van transfer to central Rome 15 min

   The included 15 minute van transfer connects the Vatican with central Rome, where the guided city walk starts.

4. Piazza Navona 30 min

   During 30 minutes at Piazza Navona, your guide explains the square’s origins as a stadium and the fountains built there.

5. Pantheon 10 min

   The Pantheon stop lasts 10 minutes outside the building. Your guide explains the dome and the change from temple to church; entry is excluded.

6. Trevi Fountain 15 min

   During the 15 minute Trevi Fountain stop, your guide explains the fountain from a nearby viewpoint before the group moves on.

7. Lunch near the Trevi Fountain 60 min

   The 60 minute lunch break is near the Trevi Fountain. You pay for your own food during this break.

8. Roman Forum 60 min

   The guided Roman Forum visit lasts 60 minutes and includes the Arch of Titus. The Forum and Colosseum visits can swap order to fit your entry slot.

9. Colosseum 60 min

   The 60 minute Colosseum visit covers the first and second tiers with your guide. The arena floor and underground are outside this route.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 72 hours before departure. Later cancellations get no refund. Bookings are confirmed at once. If you cancel because of rain, the full refund deadline is 3 full days before departure. Wednesday closures and Vatican events remove the Scala Regia exterior view of St Peter’s Basilica.

Know before you go

• Your ticket name must match your government-issued ID at both the Vatican and Colosseum. Bring that ID for admission; a name mismatch means refused entry.
• Be at the Colosseum gate 15 minutes before your booked entry slot. Entry at a different time is not allowed. Your Colosseum slot sets the order of the Forum and Colosseum visits.
• All sites have security screening, and a held slot can still involve a security queue. Bags go through a scanner at the Colosseum. Large bags are barred, as are glass and sprays.
• This 7 hour day requires a high level of fitness. The group cannot accommodate wheelchairs or walking difficulties that need assistance. Wear suitable shoes for the park paths.
• Pushchairs and prams are not accepted. On Small Group Tour, ages 0 to 6 cost €104.45; ages 7 to 17 cost €169. Hold children by the hand in the park.
• From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30. Choose 8:15 for the earliest departure in either group size.
• Your 60 minute lunch break is near the Trevi Fountain; food costs extra. Hotel pickup and drop-off are excluded. The included van transfer connects the Vatican with central Rome.
• Cancellation at least 3 full days before departure brings a full refund. Cancellation within 3 days brings no refund.
