Does the family option include the arena floor?

The family option excludes the arena floor and Palatine. The 2 private options below have different routes and departure times. Prices are the lowest listed, per adult, ages 18 to 99; the hours and the days belong to each option.

Is the private tour price for the whole party?

The private arena tour costs €139 per adult, including the €24 park ticket. At least 2 adults must book, each paying the adult rate. Children aged 3 to 17 pay €139, the same as adults.

What's included

The arena option includes the €24 Full Experience Arena ticket. The family option includes the €18 tiers ticket; its guided route leaves out the Palatine. The reservation charge belongs to LivTours' tour price breakdown.

What does a private guide add to the park ticket?

Full Experience Arena costs €24, on sale online 7 days ahead. The ticket office sells the same ticket on the day. The €18 tiers ticket goes on sale 30 days ahead. Itinerary

1. Colosseum 90 min

   Arena access is followed by a visit to the first tier with your private guide. The Colosseum stop is 90 minutes on the arena option.

2. Palatine Hill 30 min

   A 30-minute guided Palatine visit is part of the arena option. The family option leaves out this stop.

3. Roman Forum 60 min

   The 60-minute Forum stop covers the temples and public buildings, including the Senate. The order of sites can change with your Colosseum slot.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Later cancellations get no refund. Bookings are confirmed at once.

Know before you go

• Every traveller's full name goes on the ticket when you book. Bring the matching passport or photo ID for entry to the Colosseum and Forum.
• Be at the Colosseum gate 15 minutes before your booked entry. Your tour's meeting time and Colosseum entry slot are separate times.
• Tour departure times are separate from Colosseum entry slots. The Colosseum opens at 8:30; the Forum and Palatine open at 9:00.
• The route accepts wheelchair users. The arena itinerary includes a climb to the first tier. Wear suitable shoes for walking; avoid high heels and flip-flops.
• At least 2 adults must book the private arena option, each paying €139 with a €24 park ticket included. The price is per person.
• Children aged 3 to 17 pay €139 on the arena option, the same as adults. Infants under 3 cost €0. Children must be held by the hand.
• From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30. Departure times can change with Colosseum ticket availability.
• A full refund requires cancellation at least 24 hours before departure; later cancellations receive no refund. Food and drink are excluded, as are tips.
