What does the tour add to the €24 arena ticket?

The €24 Full Experience Arena ticket opens the arena floor and tiers. Your Forum and Palatine visit falls within 2 consecutive days. Online sales open 7 days ahead, with ticket office sales on the day. The €59 option adds an English guide and headsets to that €24 ticket.

Itinerary

1. Colosseum

   The 90 minute tour covers the guided arena visit and introductions to the Forum and Palatine. The longer tours add guided time on the second level.

2. Roman Forum

   The 3 hour options guide you through the Forum. The 90 minute options give an introduction before you continue on your own.

3. Palatine Hill

   The route climbs to Palatine Hill for views over the Forum and Circus Maximus. The shorter options leave the hill visit self-guided after an introduction.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 72 hours before departure. Later cancellations get no refund. Bookings are confirmed at once. If a venue closes at short notice, City Wonders extends the remaining tour to fill the booked duration. The same rule applies to closures of part of a venue.

Know before you go

• Give every visitor's full name when booking and bring matching government ID or a passport. City Wonders does not allow name changes after booking.
• Be at the Colosseum gate 15 minutes before your entry slot. Security checks can delay entry. The order of sites can change.
• Bags go through a scanner. Glass and sprays are barred; large bags cannot enter.
• The route needs moderate fitness. The tour is not recommended for visitors with poor cardiovascular health. Wear walking shoes for the uphill walk to the Palatine.
• Group tours cannot take pushchairs or baby carriages. On the compared option, ages 2 to 17 pay €54; ages 0 to 1 pay €0. Children pay the adult rate on private tours.
• Hotel pickup and drop-off are excluded. The tour price excludes food and drinks. Gratuities are also excluded.
• From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30.
• Cancellation at least 3 full days before departure brings a full refund. Cancellation within 3 days brings no refund.
