The Forum and Palatine visits are self-guided on all City Wonders Colosseum Arena Express options. The route gives 30 minutes to the guided Colosseum stop. The Forum and Palatine each have 30 minutes in the route outline. You can explore both sites at your own pace within park opening hours.

What does the tour add to the €24 arena ticket?

Full Experience Arena costs €24 and is valid for 2 days in a row. The ticket allows 1 timed Colosseum visit and 1 entry to the Forum and Palatine. Park tickets go on sale online 7 days ahead, or at the ticket office on the day.

The tour adds an English guide for the Colosseum, with headsets and a held slot. Your ticket: Group with Arena Floor at €59 with the €24 arena ticket sold online 7 days ahead.

Itinerary

1. Colosseum 30 min

   The guide takes you onto the arena floor during the Colosseum stop. All 3 options also include the tiers.

2. Roman Forum 30 min

   The guide takes you to the Forum and Palatine area for your own visit. The route outline gives the Forum 30 minutes.

3. Palatine Hill 30 min

   The Palatine visit is self-guided, with site maps to help you find your way. The route outline gives the Palatine 30 minutes; the order of sites can change.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 168 hours before departure. Later cancellations get no refund. Bookings are confirmed at once. Parts of the route can close at short notice. City Wonders then extends the rest of the tour to keep the same total length.

Know before you go

• Give every participant's name when booking. Bring matching government-issued ID or a passport; names cannot change after booking.
• Be at the Colosseum turnstile 15 minutes before your entry slot. Entry at a different time is not allowed.
• Security checks can delay entry to the Colosseum. Your held slot does not remove those checks.
• The route requires moderate fitness. Wear suitable shoes and hold children by the hand.
• On Group with Arena Floor, ages 4 to 14 cost €54; ages 0 to 3 cost €0. Adult tour fares start at age 15.
• From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30. The 16:15 and 17:00 departures fall after winter last admission.
• A full refund requires cancellation at least 7 full days before departure. Cancellation within 7 days gets no refund.
• Hotel pickup and drop-off are excluded from the price. Tips are also excluded.
