Does Gladiator's Gate include the Colosseum underground?

Group Tour - Gladiator's Gate does not include the underground. The separate Private Underground Tour takes 3 h 30. Full Experience Underground and Arena costs €24 at the park, on sale online 30 days ahead. Your ticket: Private Underground Tour at €225 for underground access with your own guide.

Itinerary

1. Colosseum 95 min

   The Colosseum stop is 95 minutes; Full Experience Arena allows 90 minutes inside the monument. The Gladiator's Gate group visits the arena floor before the first and second tiers.

2. Roman Forum 40 min

   The Gladiator's Gate group and Arena Express include a guided Roman Forum visit. Colosseum Express includes a Forum ticket for your own visit.

3. Palatine Hill 45 min

   The Gladiator's Gate group climbs Palatine Hill with a guide. Arena Express visits the Palatine Terrace and leaves out the hill.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 72 hours before departure. Later cancellations get no refund. Bookings are confirmed at once. The Colosseum or Roman Forum may close at short notice; Palatine Hill may also close. Walks gives advance notice where possible and reports last-minute closures at the start of the tour.

Know before you go

• Everyone's full name is required at booking, including children's names. Bring the matching government ID for each person. Names can be corrected up to 7 days before your visit. Missing names or ID mean refusal without refund.
• Arrive 15 minutes before your tour starts. The Colosseum entry slot is fixed; the gate cannot admit you at a different time.
• Your bag goes through a scanner at the entrance. Large bags cannot enter; leave glass and sprays behind.
• Wear shoes you can climb in; heels and flip-flops are unsuitable. You need moderate fitness to keep a steady pace. The tour is unsuitable for guests with mobility impairments.
• On Group Tour - Gladiator's Gate, children aged 2 to 17 cost €79; infants under 2 cost €0. Wheelchairs and pushchairs cannot join the tour. Children must be held by the hand.
• From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30.
• Cancel at least 3 full days before departure for a full refund. Cancellations within 3 days of departure receive no refund.
• Your price excludes tips and hotel transfers; the group meets at Colle Oppio Park.
