Which parts of the TOURIKS tour have a guide?

The guide joins you inside the Roman Forum and on the Palatine for 1 hour. The next hour covers the Colosseum from outside, followed by your independent visit to the first and second tiers. The arena floor is excluded.

Meeting point

Itinerary

1. Roman Forum 30 min

   The guide takes you inside the Roman Forum for 30 minutes. The route covers the Temple of Vesta and the Senate House.

2. Palatine Hill 30 min

   The guided Palatine visit lasts 30 minutes. The hill gives views over the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus.

3. Arch of Constantine 5 min

   This 5 minute exterior stop starts the Colosseum part of the route. The guide explains the arch and its sculptures.

4. Ludus Magnus 5 min

   The route pauses for 5 minutes at the remains of the Ludus Magnus. The stop is outside the Colosseum.

5. Colosseum 50 min

   The guide spends 50 minutes explaining the Colosseum from exterior viewpoints. Your independent entry with Roma Pass follows this stop.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 168 hours before departure. Later cancellations get no refund. Bookings are confirmed at once. If bad weather cancels the TOURIKS tour, you can reschedule or receive a full refund.

Know before you go

• Every traveller’s full name belongs on the booking, including each child’s. Bring a passport or ID matching the name on your ticket.
• Registration starts 30 minutes before departure; late arrivals cannot join the group. Be at the Colosseum gate 15 minutes before your entry slot. Entry at another time is not allowed.
• Bags go through a scanner, and security checks can take 5 to 45 minutes. Leave large backpacks and trolleys behind; glass or metal bottles and sprays are banned.
• The Forum and Palatine route is not wheelchair accessible. Suitable shoes are needed on the park paths; high heels and flip-flops are unsuitable.
• Children aged 7 to 17 cost €79, with up to 14 people per booking. Hold children by the hand on the park paths.
• From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30. The 9:00 or 12:00 start leaves time for Colosseum entry after the guided sections.
• The Roma Pass gives 2 days of unlimited public transport. Your Colosseum visit is independent, and the arena floor is outside this ticket’s access.
• Cancellation at least 7 full days before departure brings a full refund. Cancellation within 7 days brings no refund.
