Should you book Moonlight Rome or A Night at the Colosseum?

A Night at the Colosseum costs €50 for a guided visit to the arena floor and underground. The park's night visits run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 20:00 to 23:00, with last admission at 21:50. Night tickets go on sale 7 days ahead.

Your ticket: Rome Walking Tour at €24 for your daily 20:00 walk outside. A Night at the Colosseum costs €50 for entry with a guide.

Itinerary

1. Piazza di Pasquino 19 min

   Your evening walk starts in Piazza di Pasquino, in front of Chiesa della Natività di Gesù.

2. Piazza Navona 19 min

   At Piazza Navona, the guide covers Domitian's stadium before turning to Borromini and Bernini.

3. Pantheon 18 min

   The 18-minute Pantheon stop covers Hadrian's temple from outside; entry is excluded from your tour.

4. Trevi Fountain 19 min

   The route follows cobbled streets to Trevi Fountain for a 19-minute stop by the fountain lit at night.

5. Piazza Venezia / Ancient City 19 min

   The stop beneath the Altar of the Fatherland covers Rome's more recent history.

6. Trajan's Forum 18 min

   The guide explains Trajan's monument from outside the archaeological site during this 18-minute stop.

7. Ancient forums 18 min

   Your guide covers the ancient forums built by Caesar and Augustus as the walk continues past the ruins.

8. Colosseum 19 min

   The final stop is outside the Colosseum. The guide covers the amphitheatre before the walk ends.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Later cancellations get no refund. Bookings are confirmed at once. From 1 to 24 October, the park closes at 18:30. The 20:00 walking tour stays outside the Colosseum.
