Can the English tour use a multilingual guide?

Gray Line may use a multilingual guide on the English Tour Meeting Point option. Your group can have up to 20 people. A booking for 10 people can share its guide with other travellers. Headsets are included.

What does Gray Line add to the €18 park ticket?

The €18 standard ticket opens the first and second tiers, plus the Forum and Palatine. The standard ticket allows one timed Colosseum entry and one Forum and Palatine entry within 24 hours. Standard tickets go on sale 30 days ahead. Gray Line adds a guide with headsets and a held slot. Your ticket: English Tour Meeting Point at €62.25, including the €18 ticket.

Itinerary

1. Parco di Colle Oppio 15 min

   Your group meets inside Colle Oppio Park before the guided visits begin. The meeting time is 15 minutes before departure.

2. Colosseum 60 min

   Your 60 minute Colosseum visit covers the first and second tiers with a guide. The standard ticket excludes the arena floor.

3. Roman Forum 60 min

   Your guide spends 60 minutes in the Roman Forum. The stop covers the ruins of Rome's civic and religious centre.

4. Palatine Hill 45 min

   The guide continues to Palatine Hill for 45 minutes. The hill sits beside the Forum within the same archaeological park.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Later cancellations get no refund. Bookings are confirmed at once. The park closes on 25 December and 1 January.

Know before you go

• Give the full names of all travellers when booking. Bring the passport or ID card matching your ticket; the park requires named entry.
• Arrive at Colle Oppio Park 15 minutes before departure. The park requires arrival at the Colosseum gate 15 minutes before your booked slot. Entry at a different slot is not possible.
• Your route requires moderate fitness and is not recommended for visitors with impaired mobility. Wear shoes suited to walking. High heels and flip-flops are unsuitable for the park paths.
• A pacemaker certificate is needed to avoid entry screening. Gray Line does not recommend this tour during pregnancy or for visitors with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.
• Children must have an adult with them throughout the tour. English places cost €54 for ages 3 to 17, or €0 for ages 0 to 2.
• If you cancel at least 24 hours before departure, you receive a full refund. Later cancellations receive a 0% refund. The deadline applies to your booked departure time.
• From 1 to 24 October, last admission is 17:30 and the park closes at 18:30. The Colosseum opens at 8:30, followed by the Forum and Palatine at 9:00.
• Your tour price excludes food or drinks, plus hotel pickup and drop-off. Tips are extra. A mobile or paper ticket is accepted.
